Horse chestnut contains aescin, a triterpenic saponin that reduces capillary permeability and supports venous tone. It works synergistically with peppermint to optimize scalp microcirculation, creating the vascular conditions needed for active follicle function.

Derived from the butterfly bush meristem, these plant stem cells contain epigenetic factors that help delay follicular senescence and extend the anagen (growth) phase. They protect follicular stem cells from oxidative damage, supporting sustained density over time.

How to use
After washing, on towel-dried hair
- Shake before use.
- Wash with fortifying hair bath; condition if needed.
- Towel-dry hair thoroughly.
- Part into 3/4-inch vertical sections, from the top of the head outward.
- Apply directly to the scalp along each part.
- Repeat with horizontal sections, from crown to nape.
- Leave on for 5 minutes.
- Do not rinse; go on to styling.
How often: Intensive: 2 to 3 times a week for 6 weeks. Maintenance: 1 to 2 times a week for 4 weeks.

Do I rinse out fortifying hair lotion?
No. It is a leave-on scalp treatment: after 5 minutes on the scalp, go straight to styling.
When and how do I apply it?
After washing with fortifying hair bath, towel dry. Apply to the scalp in 3/4-inch vertical sections from the top outward, then in horizontal sections from crown to nape.
How often should I use it?
2 to 3 times a week for 6 weeks for intensive care, then 1 to 2 times a week for 4 weeks to maintain.
Will it make thin hair look fuller?
That is what it is made for. Peptide-rich lupin and pea sprout extracts reinforce the hair shaft and reduce breakage, for hair that looks denser.
Why does scalp care matter?
The scalp is skin, and hair grows from it. A scalp that is balanced, neither oily nor tight, is the base for hair that looks fresh, light and full. That is why Oway’s scalp formulas care for the scalp first, then the lengths.
Is it vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes. It is vegan and cruelty-free, and free from parabens, silicones, sulfates, phthalates and PEGs.
What does it smell like?
Olfactory bouquet: mint, lemon. The green freshness of mint and the pungent and sharp notes of lemon, for a treatment formulated to stimulate micro-circulation and strengthen the capillary bulb.

What is Agricosmetica®?
Agricosmetica® is how Oway makes cosmetics: actives from biodynamic and certified organic farming, selected with care and processed in a circular system that turns waste into resources, from the field to the bottle.
What is Ortofficina?
Ortofficina is Oway’s farm in the hills of Bologna, farmed with biodynamic methods since the early 2000s. Many of the botanical actives in Oway formulas are grown there and harvested when each plant is at its peak.
What does biodynamic mean?
Biodynamic farming treats the farm as one living system. It builds soil fertility with compost and crop rotation, uses no synthetic fertilizers or pesticides, and times sowing and harvest to natural cycles. Oway grows its biodynamic actives at Ortofficina and with a network of biodynamic growers.
Why glass and aluminium?
Glass keeps out light, air and moisture, so a formula keeps its purity, potency and freshness, and nothing leaches into it. Oway replaced plastic with recyclable glass and aluminium for its bottles, jars and tubes, to cut single-use plastic.
Where is Oway made?
In Italy. Oway was founded in Bologna in 1948 and still develops its formulas there, close to its farm, Ortofficina.
