After shampooing and any rinse-out conditioner, towel-dry hair to remove excess water. Wearing gloves, dispense the required amount into one hand and use the fingers of the other to apply the treatment evenly, strand by strand, from mid-lengths to ends. Massage gently and comb through for even distribution. Leave on for 5 to 10 minutes, monitoring the tone visually—longer time yields a more intense result. Rinse thoroughly.

Use weekly until the desired tone is achieved, then switch to biweekly for maintenance.
