UPCYCLED CITRUS PEEL

Extract derived from the peels of Italian oranges and mandarins: precious parts of the fruit usually considered superfluous within the agri-food distribution chain. Citrus peel, on the contrary, is a rich source of bioactive compounds such as: Polyphenols (including Hesperidin) with antioxidant action: they protect the keratin structure (both at cuticle and cortex level) against damage caused by free radicals (weakening, breakage, and loss of shine). Polyphenols help neutralize free radicals, contributing to keeping hair healthy and strong; Polysaccharides (such as Pectins): with chelating effect towards heavy metals; Ascorbic acid (vitamin C): with renowned effectiveness as an antioxidant.
